Track 2 gathers a selection of materials and notes that emerged during my research on the relationship between the places I pass through and the ways of inhabiting them. It is an attempt to reconstruct images, texts, and sounds that synthesize experiences and reflections related to the theme of being in a place, with particular attention to the difference between physical space and lived space.

The work is mainly based on written fragments, videos, and audio recordings that are part of an ongoing research on the role of spatial representation, mapping, and the traces we leave in the places we move through. The materials come from different contexts, especially from experiences carried out in territories far from my native home, which have generated unexpected connections between places that may appear very different from each other.

During the period at Dos Mares in Marseille, I explored these themes further by engaging with artistic practices related to mapping, archiving, and the relationship between personal experiences and urban structure. This exchange strengthened the idea that the way we represent and narrate a space is always influenced by the historical and social narratives that cross it.

At the center of this process is the idea of trace: not understood as a univocal sign or predefined direction, but as a fluid element in constant transformation. Physical, spoken, drawn, written, recorded – every form of presence becomes a signal of movement, a clue of passage. The trace is not a definitive path, but an evolving element that helps us understand the relationship between those who traverse a place and what that place gives back in terms of memory, relation, and form.

     Track 2 is therefore the beginning of a collection of materials that connect experiences, places, and paths. The aim is to build a narrative that is not linear but reflects the complexity of how spaces are inhabited, interpreted, and transformed over time. It is the beginning of a collection of testimonies and paths that, more than documenting, seek to activate a plural narrative. A story that could belong to many places – or perhaps to just one – continually rewritten by the way we pass through it.
