Over the course of 2022, across roughly six months, the research on inhabiting carried out by Corrispondenze focused on physical displacement and on the transfer of forms capable of generating new inhabitable spaces. This became a tool to highlight the temporariness of space, processes of change, and the value of encounter as a mode of narration and representation.

    Conversations to clearing-Away, presented at Paratissima 2022 in Turin, represented a moment of physical elaboration of the thoughts accumulated within the archive that Corrispondenze projects have gathered over time. In an empty room of the Artiglieria, the installation began with black fabric modules arranged on the floor, which over four days gradually transformed into a modular, participatory carpet-space. Contributions left by visitors in chalk were later hand-embroidered, turning them into a flexible fabric — adaptable to different display configurations and dense with narratives that can be combined or separated to explore possible ways of inhabiting space.

During the exhibition Corrispondenze, istruzioni per l’uso  in the same year, Conversations to Clearing-Away was integrated into the structure of I Brought a Piece of Home with Me, transforming it into a small cinema.
